How to assign an editor?

An editor may assign another editor to handle the article. This is typically the task of the Editor in Chief, who wishes to delegate the peer review process to a subordinate editor.

To do so, the editor must have the right to assign other editors. This is configured in the profile management tool.

If enabled, the assignment tool will appear on the article page:

 

Selecting an editor from the menu will generate a mail to this editor, asking him to take in charge the editorial process. Once an editor is selected, he will appear on the article page as “current editor”.
